Cobrabald Charolais

Picture
Charolais heifers
Of French origins in the Charolles region of Central France and the first European breed to enter Australia in 1969, The Charolais breed has achieved considerable regard as a producer of highly rated meat in the local Australian markets. Today Charolais continue to positively influence all sectors of the beef industry with their depth of quality, structural soundness and growth for age.

The Charolais within our herd are selected and refined by having a breeding line and strong emphasis on producing structurally sound, easy calving, fast growing reliable cattle that will work for buyers and continue to please them in stud, cross-breeding and composite programs.
We also run an extensive embryo Transfer and AI program with imported semen on a select group of females each year,  consequently the stud have continued to produce results on a Local and National level. Implementation of group breed-plan in the early 90's has helped us produce Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs) on all of our cattle. Each year an annual bull sale allows us to produce a new generation of Charolais cattle for the ever changing markets.
